Ossidiana Infuocata: Charizard torna a bruciare i binder dei collezionisti

Obsidian Flames: Charizard returns to burn collectors' binders

When Charizard appears in a Pokémon expansion, one thing is certain: collectors start sweating even before they open the packs.

With Obsidian Flames, the Pokémon TCG brings to the table a new expansion full of interesting cards, beloved Pokémon, and illustrations capable of making you say the classic phrase: "I'll just open one more."

Spoiler: it won't be just one more.

What can we find in Obsidian Flames?

This expansion continues the Scarlet & Violet series and leans heavily into ex cards, iconic Pokémon, and special versions that immediately catch the attention of collectors.

The absolute star is undoubtedly Charizard ex, a card that is enough on its own to make people talk about the expansion. But Obsidian Flames is not just Charizard: in the set we also find other interesting names such as Pidgeot ex, Tyranitar ex, and Dragonite ex.

In short, not exactly cards to leave at the back of the binder.

Cards to keep an eye on

In Obsidian Flames, there are several cards that can make a collector's eyes light up. The ex versions are among the most sought-after, but the cards with special illustrations also have that charm that makes every opening more exciting.

These are the cards that, when they come out of the pack, make you grab a sleeve immediately, maybe even two, "just to be safe."

Why do collectors like it?

Obsidian Flames is popular because it combines three perfect ingredients: famous Pokémon, cards that are beautiful to look at, and the presence of Charizard.

And when Charizard is involved, you know, attention immediately spikes. Even those who say "I'm skipping this expansion" often end up checking out at least one pack. Then a second. Then a third.

It’s all normal. It happens to the best of us.

Is it worth collecting?

In our opinion, yes, especially if you love expansions with aesthetically strong cards and highly recognizable Pokémon.

Obsidian Flames is suitable both for those who want to complete the set and for those who are just looking for the most beautiful cards to add to their binder. It is one of those expansions that can appeal to expert collectors, but also to those who have recently entered the world of Pokémon cards.

Obsidian Flames is a hot expansion in name and in fact. Between Charizard ex, special cards, and beloved Pokémon, it offers plenty of reasons to open packs and update your checklist.

The advice is simple: get your sleeves ready, clear some space in the binder, and don’t underestimate this expansion.

Because when Charizard enters the scene, the binder is never truly ready.
